Rock, Paper, Scissors: Best Of One
“Challenge someone to a game of rock-paper-scissors, the loser drinks! ✊🖐️✌️”
Rock, Paper, Scissors is the one forfeit on the board that doesn't ask you to strip, confess, or perform. It asks you to win a fight. You call your opponent, you throw, and whoever's hand loses is the one drinking. No embarrassment required — just bad luck with your fist.
At a real table this is the wedge that actually stops the room. Two people square up, count together, throw — and half the time it's a tie, so you go again while everyone else leans in shouting advice neither player asked for. Someone always throws scissors twice out of pure stubbornness. The loser groans, drinks, and immediately wants a rematch the rules never promised them.
The honest tactic is picking your opponent before you pick your hand. This is one of the few wedges that lets you call anyone at the table, so use it to settle a real score rather than pick on whoever's easiest. Agree the count before you throw, too — arguments over "rock, paper, scissors, shoot" timing cause more grief than the actual drink does.
It sits out in the 4th Circle alongside the board's spicier dares, but next to those it's practically wholesome — a proper game rather than a confession. On the pub-safe Social side the fix is simple: same face-off, same loser, just a point instead of a drink, so the game keeps its edge without anyone needing to keep pace with their glass.
18+ on the Party side. Every forfeit swaps for a sip or a dare, and the pub-safe Social side skips the booze entirely.
