DartUp

Terms of Sale

Last updated 3 July 2026.

The short version

  • → You're charged today, but boards only go into production once 100 pre-orders come in by 15 September 2026.
  • → Short of 100? Every order is refunded automatically within 14 days — no form, no chasing us.
  • → You've got a 14-day cooling-off right to cancel for any reason, even after your board ships.

Who you're buying from

These terms cover any order placed at dartup.co.uk. The seller is DartUp Ltd (company number to follow once incorporation completes), trading as DartUp. Contact us at [email protected] for anything to do with an order.

This is a pre-order

DartUp boards are made to order once we know enough people want one. When you buy, you're pre-ordering — not buying stock sitting in a warehouse.

Your card is charged in full at checkout, not on dispatch. That payment funds the production run. Prices shown include VAT if we are VAT-registered at the time of your order; if we're not, there's no VAT to pay.

Estimated delivery date

We're aiming to dispatch all pre-orders before Christmas 2026. That date is an estimate, not a guarantee — production and shipping delays can happen. We'll email you if the timeline moves.

If we don't reach 100 pre-orders

We only put boards into production if at least 100 pre-orders come in by 15 September 2026. If fewer than 100 orders are placed by that date, every order is automatically refunded in full to the original payment method within 14 days. You don't need to ask — it happens on its own. See our refund policy for the full details.

Your right to cancel (cooling-off period)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order for any reason, without giving a reason, starting from the moment you place it up to 14 days after your board is delivered.

To cancel, email [email protected] with your order number and let us know you want to cancel. A clear statement is enough — you don't need a form. If your order has already shipped when you cancel, send it back to us in line with the returns section below.

Once you tell us you're cancelling, we'll refund you within 14 days. If your board has already been dispatched, we can hold the refund until we've received it back, or until you've shown proof of posting — whichever is first.

Returns

Unopened boards can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. Post them back in the original packaging where possible.

Opened boards can also be returned within the same 14-day window under your cancellation right above, but we may make a deduction if the value has been reduced by handling beyond what's needed to check the item — a board that's been used for a full night of darts, for example.

You're responsible for return postage unless the board is faulty or not as described — in that case, see below.

Faulty or damaged boards

If your board arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply regardless of this cooling-off period. Email us with photos and we'll sort a replacement or refund.

Liability

Our liability to you for any claim relating to your order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law doesn't allow it — for example, death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

DartUp involves throwing darts, so players must be 18 or over, clear the throw line before playing, and take reasonable care of people and property around the board.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland and the rest of the United Kingdom. If a dispute can't be resolved directly, the courts of Northern Ireland have jurisdiction, without stopping you from bringing a claim in your local courts if you're a consumer elsewhere in the UK.
